A Simple Truth. A Quote from President Abraham Lincoln.

President Abraham Lincoln

This will be a simple post. It is a quote. It speaks more to the current state of my country, the United States of America, than I could with a few dozen paragraphs.

“You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.

You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.

You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.

You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.

You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred..

You cannot build character and courage by taking away people’s initiative and independence.

You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.”

That’s alaltucy why he’s facing backyards. It’s standard for presidents who died in office. Look up the symbolism of statues, especially ones with horses. There’s a lot of symbolism that people have lost touch with in the modern era.
